Season 1 Registration

DanceLab Contemporary Youth Company (DCYC) is an elevated performance opportunity designed for committed dancers seeking a professional, contemporary experience beyond the studio setting.

Season 1 of DCYC offers dancers the chance to be part of a curated creative process, culminating in a professionally produced dance film. This is an audition-based program intended for dancers who are confident in their ability and demonstrate a strong foundation in ballet technique and contemporary technique

Age Groups:

• Junior: 9–12 years

• Senior: 13+ years

Registration Details:
All dancers must complete the registration form and submit a link to a short solo video demonstrating their technique. Please note: registration does not guarantee acceptance. This process acts as the official audition for DCYC Season 1.

Program Structure:
Selected dancers will have the opportunity to learn choreography remotely between July - August and be required for 2 x full day all cast rehearsal as well as one full day for filming mid Aug date TBC.

Final Outcome:
Season 1 will conclude with a professionally filmed contemporary dance production, providing dancers with a polished creative outcome and valuable performance experience.
