DCYC is an audition-based contemporary performance experience for dedicated dancers ready to step into a professional company creative process.

Who It’s For

Season One is a Contemporary Dance Film The Space Between choreographed by Michelle Bucci, Juliet Doherty and Taliah Collins and aimed at confident dancers with a strong foundations in contemporary and ballet. DCYC is for dancers seeking a focused, high-level contemporary company opportunity beyond weekly classes.

Age Groups

  • Intermediate: 10 -15 years

  • Open Age 16 - 24 years

THE EXPERIENCE

DCYC is designed as a structured, professional process.

Dancers will:

  • Audition via registration + solo video submission

  • Selected dancers will have the opportunity to learn choreography remotely between July - August and be required for 1 x full day all cast rehearsal 1 x full day for filming (Sunshine Coast Location) August 15th and 16th

This is not a casual commitment. It’s a considered, elevated experience.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

Registration fee: $25

  1. Registration acts as an audition

  2. Acceptance is selective and not guaranteed

  3. Applications close June 30, 2026

  4. Successful artists project fee $220

THE OUTCOME:

A professional contemporary dance film — a refined creative experience and a lasting performance work. All dancers who participate will receive a copy of the final project.
